Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
LAB — Leaders Advancing Business ("LAB," "we," "us") is a California nonprofit. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you submit a membership application or nomination, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, company, title, an optional LinkedIn URL, the name and contact details of the member who referred you, and any message you include. If you sign in as a member, we process your account profile and event participation (RSVPs, attendance).
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the type of inquiry, your company and phone number if you choose to give them, and your message.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we use it
We use this information to review applications, administer membership, plan and run events, and communicate with you about LAB. We share it only with people who administer LAB and with service providers that operate this site and our email on our behalf (for example, our hosting and email delivery vendors), under confidentiality obligations.
We use contact-form messages only to reply to you and to follow up on your inquiry.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Notice for detail.
Data retention
We keep application and membership information for as long as needed to administer membership and for legitimate record-keeping, then delete or anonymize it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA you may request access to or deletion of your personal information and are entitled to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined by California law.
EEA/UK residents: where the GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are your consent, our legitimate interests in administering an invitation-only membership organization, and compliance with legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
